I think we Americans often forget how blessed we are to live in the United States. We take so much for granted. We Americans do a lot of bitching when most of us have far better life than the majority of folks in this world.
We certainly can’t fix all the world’s problems but it’s really hard to watch the current events in Afghanistan and the craziness along our southern border.
I added my name to “Rooms for Refugees” to offer a temporary home for an Afghan refugee that’s in a shit mess. It’s a small offer in the big picture of what’s going on in that part of the world but it’s good to try to make a difference for others when we can. I could only imagine the reality check and how much one could learn from hosting an Afghan refugee.
